Door open M Meter Disconnected

Hi
 
I have a S2000 Enhanced Board 5 Reel game that is getting a "Door open M  Meter Disconnected" error that I can"t clear. I tried opening & closing door latch, switched out meter board still won't clear. I was wondering if I should try a clear and re key it. The game worked fine last time it was turned on. Any ideas?

With the machine turned off try reseating the two door I/O cards making sure there are no bent pins. Then retry note you may still have to lift the door latch a few times to clear stacked errors.

You might check for battery leakage on the MPU if it's been sitting for awhile.

Enhanced board not usually Varta problem. But it should be removed at some point along with clipping legs on u16 regulator.

Be sure the optics are not damaged, properly aligned & connected. Might not be your problem but I have had bad optics give me that same error message before.

S 2000 "Meter Disconnected Closure M" Error

Hi


I am still trying to clear S 2000 "Meter Disconnected Closure M" Error. This is on a 5 reel, Enhanced Board Machine.


I have switched out all 3 IO boards, Replaced both batteries on CPU, Switched out CPU boards, switched out Meter board, Did a Clear, Tried to key but it wouldn't let me, and switched out the lines, credit board that sits on the door, have checked the optics, they seem to line up,--still no luck.


The machine starts ok, bv cycles, reels spin, normal start up, then comes the error. Any one have any more ideas?

You said you can not key?? What key chip are you using?
There should be zero credits on the machine. If you replaced the coin battery that would have cleared the credits.

It is an Enhanced clear/set chip. Yes credits cleared when I changed the battery

Hi


 Just wanted to let everyone know , problem solved.  I went and googled meter disconnected and it took me to NLG archive on that topic. I noted that it all seemed to stem to the IO boards.  I went back and switched them around with a few extra that I had and determined it was the one next to the CPU. Turned it on, up came machine game mismatch ( I had tried a clear before) the meter disconnected error was gone, then It let me key it and now, up and running.
