Istalling a Printer in a Phantom of the opera

i am trying to install a printer into a Phantom S2000...i got a replacement printer and a netplex board in the topper and a printer interface cable..i did not have the right power cable for the netplex board so i used on off of my other s2000 machines to see if it would work..i used the 17 key chip and tried to enable the printer..It was trying to go through the netplex configuration and then the display would disable the printer..any ideas is there another part that i am missing..looked into the lower case but could not see where one goes...thanks
