Loosen the payout- IGT S2000 Slot

We just bought a 2002 IGT S2000 slot machine for our house. I would like to find out how to Loosen the payout on it. It is super Tight!! Want a little more action out of it. Also, it has a ticket device and can cash out in quarters. Right now it is sending all wins to credit. How do I get it to pay out after each win in quarters?


Any help would be great. This is our first slot machine!

You posted in the wrong topic. You do have a S2000 and this is for S+. The things you want to do are very simple. First you have to cash out all credits. Next open the door and push the button on the MPU board. You will see choice of settings in the vfd. Go to the S2000 page for complete instruction in the how to section at the top.

Welcome to NLG!    :wave:

As a new owner you may want to get a manual for your machine. There are Operator's manuals and Service manuals, some are here on NLG in the file download area (called the NLF File System), as well as other places online. The S2000 has several preference settings that you can make, this is done in its setup/diagnostic menu. Access to the NLG download area requires a donation to the site, can be big or small, it helps to keep NLG available. Other sources of manuals are below:

Thanks for the responses. Everything we keep reading, and seeing on the screen, says something about a Chip Key. Is this what is needed to change the setting and make the machine looser? We accessed the options area and followed all the directions, but did not see the area come up to change the payout percentage. We were able to change a couple things but not the payout. We got to the denomination section, but did not display the % like it said we would.

You will have to clear all credits and use a Key chip to access the menus to change the payout percentage. Check the S2000 page for instructions on how to use the Key chip. You'll get it.
