Error 54 Drop door open

So I have this error and I also have 2 red lights on the side of my bill acceptor flashing with a pop sound from the speaker as they flash. Its first light on, then second light then back to first and continues.
I thought it was the sensor under the door to the cash can so I cut the 3 wires tied them together and plugged harness back in. Still nothing. Bill acceptor does not cycle or light up and keep getting the error for drop door open. Any ideas? Im really getting frustrated with this. It is a Bally 6000 model. Thanks

Can you pull a pin on the side of your main door and have the belly glass flip down?
Then you probably have a switch, back by the door, hinge that needs to be jumpered out also.

Ok thanks, I will have a look. Would I just cut the wires off the switch and tie them all together?

Nope, if I open the glass part I get code 51 for belly door open, still don't know what drop door is referring to?

The cash can door. The one  the bills fall into. It may have a small micro switch that the cash can door actuates when it is closed.
It could also be your cash can is not shoved in all of the way.
