Simple Question on clear chip an Enchanced board

I am sure this is a simple question, I just can't remember.


I am chipping an enhanced board and I am getting 2 green and a flashing Amber.


Is is the Amber supposed to be solid for it to be cleared or is it flashing??


If I have a flashing and that's an error whats wrong?  Haven't done one in a while so I appreciate the refresher info.

You need 2 solid ambers. No others & no flashing.

Oh, I thought I only got 2 green and 1 amber on an enhanced board?


What do you think is wrong then RB if I am getting 2 solid green and 1 flashing Amber?  I am getting the same situation on both enhanced boards I tried so I was guessing it wasn't the boards???  I figured it was user error.

R board, I think, dont the legacy adapter boards have a larger chip board that is kind of L shaped?

Legacy adapter uses SG chips, Version, DSP. R board is flashed & uses only a base chip & boot chip. R boards need a different clear/key chip RBK00001.

Yours is what most call the Legacy. If you look it should read S2000 enhanced memory. There's no chips on yours. Are you trying to run a clear without the chips installed?

You should check that MPU & memory board for bent or broken pins in the connectors if problems persist. They are tiny & it's easy to overlook a damaged pin.

Ok yes I have a Legacy board, no I just pulled all the chips to try on the other board but its in the game so this one was sitting here.  Chips are in it when I tried to clear.

Is the E2 chip present on your mother board (u13)? That would cause problems if someone removed it.

I will check that and the pins tomorrow.


I would be surprised if that was the case with both boards, I have pulled a working board out of a game to take with me to also test in the game.
