Deck Question, I think...

Hello,
Just got an older Alpha, my first.  Ran well, but called for a battery change.  Changed battery, did ram clear.  Works OK now, but...
Max Bet and Spin/Rebet lights stay on during spin.  Handle lock pulses in but does not stay locked during spin.
Prior to Ram Clear, those buttons went dark and the handle locked until game ended, or payoff ended.
Now, while spinning, if I touch any of the buttons, the two start buttons go dark like the rest, and the handle locks, but the reels stop quickly all at once.
Any ideas as to what I did, or need to do to correct this.
Playing Bonus Sevens, 5 reel, mechanical reels.

It kind if sounds like you may have selected the wrong button deck when you did the set up programming.
