First vision repair, just need a little help...

So far I’m 4/5 on slot repairs so not bad. I’m on my latest, a “double diamond run” Vision machine.


Coming up with the error “video display comm error” I’ll try to give you the quick run down and hopefully someone could help me deduct what is wrong?


— met the owner to look at buying it not working; note when he turned it on the screen was white and the computer up top was beeping the standard bad memory message.


I leave and make a deal a few days later to buy it... I move it set it up and get the memory fixed, then the machine door tells me testing memory for a very long time....


Then I get chip 97 and 31 run through the reset fine, also the batteries have been replaced.


I hooked a vga cable to it and it displays, but no display on the actual display...


Anyone have any idea where to look from here?

Please identify the SG, SB, and VS chips.
Also what BGM and ATA files are on the memory card in the top box?
Picture of the connections and wiring of the top box would also help.

Hey Rich thanks for the reply.    So when it comes down to it I didn’t set my denomination and all that fun stuff, I have the machine on and booting, but at this time I think I just need a good igt vision reset video, as I was using a video that did not have the touch display.


Processes of elimination reading others post led me to the point that closure M will still be there until the next game is played. Well the next game can not be played because I do not have my bill validator enabled. When I went to the settings it says a key is needed to change these settings.

Is this a Reel Touch machine or a Vision machine.
Please post a picture of the front of the machine.

So my last message didn’t post. At this point I ran cleared and set printer and bill validated on. And now I put paper in, and it takes it and aligns it but the machine still says paper out. So I’m so close, but somethings missing. When the paper takes a green light turns on. If that helps any


The machine says reel touch on the screen. That is my bad.
