I need a clear chip?

Hi good people of nlg. I have a S2000 3 reel slot machine and HAD problems with "displays NETPLEX link is down" error code. After reading some of nlg's past post's I got that problem resolved but now after the machine starts up I get the "bill validator error" and "door open m" errors before I close the door, once I close the door those errors go away. The bill acceptor is not responding, it flashes the middle blue light that looks like an ambulance and there's a solid red light that has a circle with a x in it. When I reseat the cash bin it does not cycle. It was recommended to me to use a clear chip. I really don't have much experience with chips and boards, and computer parts but I'm ready to try. Can anyone help me?

I doubt you need to clear. With the door open push the test button on the MPU. Scroll thru the option to the machine options. Find the bill validator and try to enable it. With the sentry system you have it is telling you the BV has a problem. I am going to guess you have a WBA BV so remove it, open the transport, and front to inspect for a jam. I have found quarters shoved in by kids, blocking the optics thus a problem. Most often removing/replacing the BV will make it cycle. Normally replacing the cash can will make it cycle also.

I have made sure the BV is enabled. I have also done a Bill validator reset/ CRC check and the outcome was "not responding". I have removed the the BV unit and reseated it many times. No bills are jammed or stuck. THX!!
