Big Bang Piggy Bankin WMS 40x dot fail boot error

Hello I am new to this forum and slot machines. I have been getting an off and on dot matrix fail. I have a spare upper power supply and dotmation screen which i have switched out that don't effect the error. It will go through initial boot on the dotmation screen then stick on the Williams screen then produce the error and shut of the screen. I am suspecting it to be the dotmation controller possibly?


On a side note once i fix this my machine is currently set up for Canadian currency bill validator. Is this easy to switch over to USA bill Validator if so what would i need to buy and what would the process be to change it.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would normally blame power for that kind of behavior, but if you have already swapped power (I assume the spare power supply is good) and have the same results, the next thing to try would be the controller.  Power up the dot display by itself (disconnect all other connections to cabinet other than power) and see if it power all the way.  If it does, then there's something with your cabinet that is causing it.

To change from canadian to US, you just need to change the validator to a US validator.  What validator is in it now?

It is a probably the dot control board in the DMD display box. I have a couple of tested ones, PM me if you need one.


I believe you need both a new validator head (DBV 200 with WMS flashed) and a transport that works with US currency. I'm pretty sure the canadian transport is wider and doesn't work with US bills, but I could be wrong.
