Coin comparitors

i currently have a microcoin ql coin mech in my uk gameking panda cabinet
I have tryed to get it updated but due to being an old version it isnt possible
How do coin comparitors work as im thinking of getting one if they work by
Reading the coin inserted in it and allowing an exact coin through??
Is this how they work or isnt it that simple?
And are there different ones for larger coins and uk currency

Can you take a photo of the information on the front of it and post it here?

It should tell you what coins it's designed for?

Its a uk 1 pound only coin mech and im awaiting it being posted back to me
I was just curious if a usa coin comparitor scans the coin you fit into it ie fit a 1pound coin
And it will accept it
Or does it need programming aswell
If not ill just wait till a newer version microcoin ql mech becomes available

well...a U.S. quarter is 24.26 mm in diameter while a British pound is 23.43 mm in diameter...just slightly smaller.

I'm sure the 13Vdc U.S. coin acceptor (CC-16D,INH,13V,4C) will allow a pound to fit into the comparitor slide holder.

But I don't know what kind of coin acceptor harness you use and if it will work for 13Vdc voltage?
