I have a Gameking 044 board that is giving the zero check failure message, then one of the amber leds goes off. When I hold in the test button for a few seconds and start up the machine again it passes this message and goes to Local authentication, then calculate SHA. I did this then a box asks to offset this. Does anyone know what thats about? Also I read somewhere on here that a guy reckoned he changed the green varta battery on his board and it worked, even though he tested the battery before and it showed 3.5v.

Zero Check Failure is usually a bad flash board.  It means the areas of the flash that are supposed to be zeroed out, have some random data on it.  You may need to have your board re-flashed to fix it.  Was this working before?

Yeah Rick, We bought 15 IGT Gamekings around 6 months ago and had virtually no problems with them. This one had started to play up over the last month, but you could reset it with the reset key, then a couple of nights ago it went off on its own and I tried ram clearing it and get the zero check failure  message now.

My money is in a flash board going bad.  These things are super static sensitive and I've had more than one go bad on me.

Machine is fixed. When the offset message box came up my tech punched in a 4 digit number and it calculated the SHA and it works. Yipeeee !!!!!!!!!!!!!
