have you tried cycling your reel mech out of the machine?  if the reel mech tray is loose - that can cause reel cycling issues

Okay, I reviewed the clock/roll pin video again.
The symptoms appear to be no clock fan resistance at start up.
Due to the free movement in relationship to the roll pin and the shaft.


 Without fan resistance the reels will not spin.
This theory can be realized by removing the fan and playing the machine.

Yes mech is constantly tested outside the machine (and misbehaves also inside the cabinet)

The mech is now at my dads place for him to fix the slop between the clock and the timing shaft.  I trust him more on these kinds of things than myself.


I also checked and my other machines do not have this slop at all so I think it's best to fix this first and then see if I'm there already or not.

Good news!! Problem is solved.

It never fails, even when moving the variator to the 'worst' position.  I played 100 coins and not a single fail.

The problem was indeed the slop between the clock and the timer shaft.
The cause...: a broken roll pin!  It had a crack in it.

I'll leave the topic online for future reference, maybe the videos will be of help somehow for someone.
