Well, after many codes I now am down to a coin comparator not working

Hi All,


Have had a ton of help here and it has made for a frustration free fix. I have had a number of codes thrown at me that have cleared. First it was a 3100 not clearing so easily, and then was a 21 that it turns out the door to the bill stacked was preventing the contacts on the door to touch.


So with all the codes cleared ( Finally ) I am left with the coin comparator. The quarters just pass through into the payout tray. I am thinking I need a new 16D unit. Any advice before I spend dough and not fix the problem.

Did you try holding the rake open as previously suggested?
