S2000 sound question with a 502 board..

I have a question about the sound on the S2000 running a 502 board. I know that these machine usually have just the mono sound out the top left speaker and coin tray. In the past I have cut the wires in the top box and connected both speaker together. If I install a MMII Board with or with out a sound SIMM, will the machine now use both top speaker when both speakers are wired normally? Or is the only way to have true stereo sound is by using a 504 board. I’m just want both top speaker to work with a 502 board, hopefully without cutting wires.

You will have stereo sound with a MML & SIMM. The difference is in the harness. You will probably have the classic speaker buzz with a 502 & SIMM. Better results with a 504B.

I’m just using what can with the machine for the board. Plus 504 boards are getting hard to find. I was just wondering about this question while I was test playing this machine. I have spare MMII Boards and some 0042 sound Simms. I’ll have to find them and give it a test.
