How to change belly glass for a 742a-277

I have a 742a-277 and I need to replace one of the light tubes in the belly .aHow do I replace the bulbs in the belly glass ..thanks

There are 2 screws, often 1 is missing.  Look in the area on the door below the door lock and another behind the wire harness plug. Do not overtighten when replacing.  Easy to strip. With the screws out, tilt the top edge of the glass chrome frame out and then up out of the bottom door channel. Usually the frame sticks in and needs some convincing ,  but hold the glass in as you remove the screws just in case it wants to fall out. The chrome frame then comes up off the glass and the glass can be removed exposing the light assembly.

If the glass hasn’t been out of the frame for a long period of time.
It could be slightly stuck from liquids spilled on the machine and or the rubber gasket.
In some cases the glass will be free and tilt outward when the screws are removed.


The existing lamp may just need to be re-seated in the sockets to work.
