Looking for Help IGT S2000 WOF

Hello All,

New member here, sorry if posting out of sub forum or such, just trying to get some help - nobody on the North East can assist

Its a 5 Reel Wheel of Fortune and the Power Supply is good, mother board doesn't show red dots, reels lock up as supposed to on boot. Put new battery in motherboard as well. Though the mini and large dot matrix say No data - and the door display says netplex issue because there is no data and the game won't do anything - this is the blockade.  I once had this problem in the past and the tech came by for 15 mins and resolved without a hitch but no longer is around.  One tech said You will need to clear the machine with a RAM clear CF card but im not sure thats for this machine.   Thanks all for any pointers or assistance.  Please pm.

When you changed out the battery, you may have corrupted the previous settings on the RAM chip for the progressive display.
That's a possible reason why your display is showing [No Data].
You need to go into page 7 of the menu options and set your progressive display.

Would you say 12910 is located in the North East?

Did this machine work and stopped working, or did it never work ?  Also, is it a standalone machine or does it have the special comm board that enables it to run ?

It worked in the past for sure, batteries drained from not being used for years. standalone machine.

I'm assuming that your machine is standalone. If it has the special comm board (in top box), this board has a battery too. I wouldn't be too concerned about the progressive display at this time. This should not keep the machine from booting up. Probably the opposite. Until it completes boot up, the progressive won't run. Sounds like a Netplex problem.

How have you confirmed the power supply is good ?

A repair service was kind enough to bring their power supply from their own machine to test and it was all good - same issue on both power supply's.  they couldn't resolve the issue obviously but their gig is pinball machines mostly so the knowledge base was limited regards to software.

What exactly does the door display say ?

Are you sure your machine is standalone ? Does it have this board in the top box ?

When you turn the machine on, does it just sit there displaying "Netplex Link Down" ?  Do the reels spin or the bill validator cycle ? If you allow it to sit for 5 minutes does it do anything ?

When it just displays Netplex Link Down and won't get passed this (reels don't spin, BV doesn't reset), the two most common causes is the CPU battery and the power supply. Did you install a fresh battery ? Correct polarity ?
It's possible the power supply you tried was also bad. It could have been borderline and when plugged into your machine didn't work.

These power supplies can be tricky to test. You might measure the correct voltage output but could have a lot of noise. Many times the voltage outputs are good but the reference pin#7 (+5vdc) if bad will shut down Netplex. The fix is replacing the capacitors or power supply.

When the machine is initially turned on, it does a bill cycle heavy noise and the reels wiggle slightly to lock up and the cpu lights go green but its in an ever-ending loop of those displays.  Reels do not spin.  after 2 minutes it doesnt do much, the top gaming disc moves though = bonus cash wheel.
