WTB Mei interface board for a sc6602U bill validator

Hello, I recently bought my first AVP G23 and I would love to play the damn thing but I’m getting a “bill validator offline id:0” error. I have switched heads, usb cables, cash cans. So if anybody has a good interface board they can sell me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Try cleaning the contacts and re-install it.  You can use a tito board to play machine until you get the BV working.

That looks like a Upstacker.  If so, it would be a SC6612 not SC6602.

I know the G20 is upstacker.  Is that an upstacker as well?
Also, there is a Easitrak board on there.  If its programmed for Easitrak thats going to give you a problem (although it wouldnt show offline)

Yes G23s have upstackers. I have a 602 head in my G23, it will work but tito tickets must be inserted upside down.

sixcardmark is right, the 6602 head will work in the machine as he specified, as long the 6602 head is flashed with the USB firmware for IGT, as the G23 uses USB interface for the BV.

I think my bv might be good. This is my first G23 and I just figured out what the letters on the top right of the screen indicated, I had several doors that were open I managed to close two out of the three but the card cage  door is still showing open. When I get home I will try clearing the memory and hopefully that will fix the problem

The 6602 head I am using came from a S2000. The gen2 printer I'm using also came from a S2000.

I posted a pic somewhere here where that cage switch is at, if you can't find it let me know.  EDIT: Is it the card cage or the security cage that is open? No need to clear.

It was the card cage Mark. I had inserted a folded paper to keep the switch closed and it was still showing the C door open so after turning off the machine I took out the brain box to get a better look at the switch and I noticed the connector on the opposite end of the wire for the switch was not plugged in to the pci card. I had disconnected it when I installed the e4690 video graphics card and forgot to put it back. Anyway the C door now was closed but unfortunately it didn’t change anything with the bv.
