3902 Sound ROM

A new issue! I swapped in an 3902 board (original software) that I hadn't used in about 8 months.

First, there was no digital sound, so I thought maybe the sound card wasn't sitting right. Popped it out, then back in. Still no sound.

The next day when I powered on, I got the errors as shown in the photos. Never saw those before. I turned the attendant key, and it said it was doing the "download" — eventually I just turned it off.

One day later, it booted up and played fine, just without digitized sound.

Any ideas on what's going on?

Try a different MMLII board.  Make sure all dips are turned off on the sndf simm. Never seen that d/load message. You can't d/load anything not being connected to a server anyway.

Thanks for the idea! I did swap out the MMLII with a known good board, but still no digitized sound.  :Scratch-Head:
