Clean / swap Printer and BV?

On a G23, am I able to remove an old printer and put in a new one?  Are there any special steps I need to take with the machine?  Also wondering the same with the Bill Validator.

My printer in my g23 often seems to print very faded, it takes a couple prints in a row to "warm up" b4 it prints fine.  If it sits for a bit without a print it will be faded again.  I tried cleaning print head, but seems like that did nothing.

My BV seems to be not very good at taking faded prints.  My faded prints still work perfect on my other machine, no rejects ever.  However this BV seems very picky.  I tried cleaning inside print head, but there again seems to be no change.  Also I notice a large pully drive wheel was missing its rubber and another is almost falling off.

Yep swap them out nothing else needed.

Just for future reference, is that also the same with an s2000?  Can I just swap the BV head out without doing anything else?

Mei?  Yep, may get crc mismatch which is no problem.

Yeah Mei.  I noticed the BV in my S2000 is the same as in my G23.  I cleaned again, if I continue to have issues, I think I'll just swap it.

Head in G23 is upstacker.  Head from s2000 you will have to enter tito tickets upside down in G23.  Also Head in G23 may be ID028 if so it won't work in S2000/GK.  If you unplug the USB cable for the Mei on G23 and it stops working then it's ID028 and will not work, if it keeps working it's ID024 and will work on S2000.

For the g23, you can also check the bill acceptor software under version in the menu.
