Identify differences AU version vs. US Crystal Curve AVP 4 Plus / ekey error

Hi All,

Just getting my Australian crystal curve setup, have noticed a few differences but as I understand it can be "stripped" and converted to the US OS with a OS change and the comm board removal.

I got an interesting error when trying to use an Ekey 9 in the secure port and not sure what it means. The DIAG key works. Any ideas?

The loaded game itself actually works when the Ekey is removed with no issues. Am I supposed to wait until the game boots first, and then insert the ekey into the secure port? I haven't tried this yet.

Edit: actually I realised I think I need to have the F, M and C switch enabled before using maybe? so i will give that a go

Can anyone look at the pics and tell me what differences they notice in this one and the US version?

Is there anything else that would need to be done to get the US games running?

Do not boot with the ekey installed like you would with Family 14. Boot machine, then insert the ekey to access the menu.
Most initial setup and installations are done with the diagnostic. Use the ekey independently to add/remove or enable/disable games, etc.
