Is a IGT 044 pn76828601 flashboard 128 or 256 mb's?

I'm not an IGT expert but several hits on google indicate it is 256mb.

The one I have in front of me sure looks like 128.  When comparing it to the 256 boards I have, the chips missing on the 256 are on the 76828601 board.  The chips on the 76828601 are missing on the 256 mb boards.

P/N 76828601 is 256M (Green Bd) and P/N 76827400 is 128M (Brown Bd). Thanks

My board is 76828601 but it is brown and has the same chips as the 128 board.

We used to think the green boards are 256mb and brown boards are 128mb. However we have come to realize that brown boards can actually be 256mb as well.

This is the way I tell.  For the most part, if the board has 12 flash chips, then it is a 256 MB board.  If it has 8 flash chips, then it's 128MB.  UNLESS they use Spansion brand flash chips, these are higher density chips, so they only require 8 for the 256MB capacity.  For the record, the capacity is determined by looking at the flash chips on the right side of the board, when looking at the board with the twin connectors positioned as the bottom of the board.  The ones one the left side will always be 4 chips with a capacity of 64MB.  Then the ones on the right will either be 4  (128MB unless they are spansion brand, then it's 256) or 8 either AMD or intel chips which will give you a 256MB capacity.
