I collect postcards, in a specific group, like passenger steam ships, San Diego, Disneyland California, Alaska, Sea World, etc. I am now collecting posted postcards from Alaska, ones that are not modified, missing stamps, not written on altered, after they are posted, I have a lot of them from 1900-1960 era.
I found one that's very interesting, Treadwell gold mine in Alaska, it's an Alaska piece of history. Alaska was the gold fever at one time, people came from all over the world for gold and many died. The Treadwell gold mine was one of the largest producing ones, it was just like a small town with several thousand people, post office, pool, basketball court, electric power plant, etc. Now all that is left is crumbling buildings, and what is left of the mine.
