NXT3.2 Woes on BB2E Conversion
« on: August 04, 2024, 01:58:28 pm »
Just received a BB2E machine with a NXT3.5 CPU.

I can get the machine to setup up with a known working game, but it never fully works because it complains about the upper LCD which always says no signal.  (When said monitor is plugged into the primary DVI, the signal is there, so the monitor is good)

I get the following error after I close the main door for the first time after setting up a game:

Machine Fault No clients found for [eGFXTwo]

On the diagnostic lights on the CPU, the first 4 are green, the next 2 are red, then 1 green.

I read the NXT3.2 manual, but the labeling on the diagnostic connectors doesn’t match up with what is in the manual.

Bad graphics card?  I have reseated everything in the CPU including removing it from the machine many times. I have also reseated the graphics card.

Even during boot up, there is nothing on the top monitor.

I am stuck.  Any ideas?

Edit.  I guess this is a NXT3.2 converted to 3.5 and then converted back.  So essentially a 3.2.

You may get a better answer than this, but can you swap the video harnesses at the brainbox?
Or does your brainbox have one output for VGA, and another output for DVI?

Are you using a DVI plug or the VGA plug for the top monitor?

I believe you have to use the DVI connector for both monitors.

I can check my game for you if necessary.

DVI on both monitors.  The company we got it from is sending out a new CPU. Fingers crossed.

New CPU fixed the issue.
