So I been battling to find working printers, i keep getting duds off ebay and such.... so I picked up some universal gen 2 as one is supposedly able to program them, i cheered to myself ill get that and the software i need for a bally gen 1 and a wms bb machine and I win.. NOPE... but alas i search and again blocked from anything related to some old 20/30 year old firmware specific to the device in my hand!  why does this have to be so insanely tight?  I can go on dell and download drivers for windows 3.1 for a 486 but it comes to some nearly extinct early 2000's gaming equipment and its locked away like the riches of Alibaba!  I might wasted buying universal printers as well! I got a growing pile of stuff i cant use here that i spent good money on and becoming frustrated.

Is there any workaround on a gen 21 universal at all or am i stuck with another pile of lemons?  All i want is some printers and validators for some 25 year old machines! its not like anyone would ever even want the silly old firmware for anything else but!  rant over..

any ideas would be appreciated.

So frustrating.  Should be out there.
