Bill validator comm failure without bill validator installed - I-Game

Hello,

Pharaohs Fortune game is installed in the machine. I want to change this game by Pink Panther's Treasure Hunt in Egypt

MPU 3902

The whole installation is going well but at the end the machine reports a BILL VALIDATOR COMM FAILURE error even though I don't have a bill validator installed !!! (there is no printer either).

I have done several clear ram without success. In addition, in the options menu I don't have the option to set the bill validator to "disable"

Are there any games that require a bill validator in the machine?

The game still needs a BV installed or bypassed to get rid of that error.

This is what I think the game is searching a bill validator...

Do you think it is possible to bypass the bill validator with a jumper, as it is possible to do for the meters in S2000.

You cannot bypass the BV with a jumper.

From the PSR from your game:

OPERATOR-SELECTABLE OPTIONS
Some options in the Operator Menu are unavailable while a game is in progress, while credits are
accumulated, or while the machine is in a hand-pay condition. Some options are displayed in the Operator
Menu but can be changed only from the Key Chip Menu. The following options appear in the Operator
and/or Key Chip Menu:
Acceptor Credit Limit The machine accepts a bill, coin, or voucher if the value of the inserted
money plus the monetary value of accumulated credits is less than or equal to
the acceptor credit limit. The maximum setting for the acceptor credit limit
is $3,000.00. If credits are not accumulated, access the Operator Menu and
touch Setup, Machine Options, and Credit Style Setup.

So I tried several changes in the menu you indicate but it doesn't change anything.

I think this game kit must have a BV installed.

In the BV Test menu, there is a button to enable/disable the reader.
When I press it, the status changes to disabled. There is no SAVE button.

I go back to the game, the error is still there and in the menu the BV has automatically returned to enabled

What does it say under Credit Style Setup?

I tried by putting these values:
hopper: 400
credit: 400
jackpot: 1200

Then by putting acceptor: 3000
And also by putting acceptor: 0

But it doesn't change anything

I really think that this game kit need a bill validator....
