IGT AVP 2 Trimline - Top Monitor Power Issue

I have an IGT AVP 2.0 Trimline with a puzzling problem.

The top monitor works fine, but only if I run a separate AC power cord to the DC power supply inside the monitor.

If I use the built-in wiring, it doesn't work. However, the power supply LED lights up when connected to internal wiring. I have tested for continuity and voltage for the built-in wiring harness. AC voltage is good on the internal wiring when checked with a meter. I also swapped the monitor connectors on the machine power supply, and the problem stays with the top monitor. I also checked continuity for the conductors on the little power cord that goes from the internal wiring to the DC power supply. Hot, neutral, ground. All good.

I am guessing it's an issue with the internal wiring harness for the top monitor, but I can't find the problem. I am also guessing that it may be a faulty connection somewhere along the path that tests fine with no load, but that fails to provide enough current to run the top monitor. I have tried applying Deoxit to all of the connectors along the path and unplugging-replugging several times to try to clean the contacts, but no luck.

I am hoping that someone will see this and recognize the symptoms or have a suggestion on where to check.
