I have a small business refurbishing, rebuilding, and maintaining equipment in Birmingham, AL. We deal with anything from old POGs, S2000's, and Fruit Bonus '96 games to modern MPUs and systems from all manufacturers. Due to the wide variety of equipment we deal with. Reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and datasheets is a big part of the job. I need someone who doesn't just replace parts but has an understanding of the systems and enough experience to intuit solutions for problems they have never experienced.

If you know your way around a pinout diagram. Can look at various serial communication standards on a digital analyzer and identify issues, have used RAM clear and diagnostic keys enough to name them in your sleep, replaced enough interface cards to do it with your eyes closed, and enjoy the variety provided by troubleshooting and resolving unique problems. Let's talk.
As a business owner who started as a technician and is far more comfortable in a warehouse than a board room I understand the value of a good technician. $20 - $40 an hour is my going rate, but if you're a wizard and your abilities truly wow me, we could discuss more.

Bonus points if you're familiar with how to perform tasks surrounding any of these key terms that are not directly related to the role but definitely useful to other activities our company performs:
UART, SPI, JTAG, Python, Compose, KTOR, Kotlin, Digital Design, FPGA, VHDL, SOC, Embedded Systems, Analog Circuitry
Those are all totally optional but would definitely impress.
