Which System chips do I need?

Hi there, trying to run a nsw version of a game in a us mk6.  Wondering which Australian system chip version I need for this african dusk mr cashman?

Pretty much any NSW system set should work as it is a very early title, you will need a touchscreen however, otherwise you'll get stuck in the stars/money/box bonus (you also need the NSW-specific stuff like LAB comms board, mech meters etc.)

Try system 07010801 or 11011901, those are usually reliable for most early games up to around 2003 (AFAIK system chips are backward compatible), although if you have a newer one installed just leave it in unless you need it in another machine for a later game like Deep Freeze or More Chilli.

One downside to the NSW version of Mr. Cashman is that is doesn't have a bunch of RTP options like the USA platform does, it's hard coded to 87% (probably 90% or so with the Cashman button) which means it doesn't have the huge wins like $1000 on the hand bonus (max is 1000x bet on that feature, same as the stars and money bag). Also, NSW software in general has a hard coded $10 bet cap and $10000 win cap, which results in most games being limited to 1c or 2c denominations, with higher denoms resulting in less lines and/or a much lower max bet to keep them below the limits (later games e.g. 2003 onward can be identified as they have a dollar conversion under all three credit, bet and win amounts and don't auto-spin with the button held down).

That said, there is no annoying $1000 tax limit (Australia doesn't tax wins, which is probably why the machines are seemingly tighter) so no annoying "jackpot" hand pays unless you hit a million credits (e.g. $10000 on 1c or $20000 on 2c), which is a forced cashout handpay on really early games like this. Circa 2002 they dropped the credit limit completely.

tl;dr - Pretty much any system version; African Dusk can be set to either 500 (1c or 2c) or 1000 (1c only) max bet. Must have touchscreen.
