Progressive unconfigured Game disable for LAP game bb3 Reel Em In Catch the Big

Need a little help here on the LAP progressive game. 

I have Blade Stepper with a Reel Em In Catch the Big One. This game was originally set up as a 1cent denom. I don't remember the winning percentage to this game. The game was working perfectly until i decided to change the denom.

The game was ram clear and set up as $1 denom with  highest winning pecentage(96%). After going through the setup, I get progressive unconfigured. Progressive disable game. This game is a  LAP and not SAP.

The game came with a Dell thin client that has a usb to ethernet adapter that connects to a wms network board with one of the two network ports to plug the ethernet cable.  I don't remember what port it was connected when it was working.

I decided to ram clear and put it back to 1cent denom and started at 96% and kept changing the next percentage down using still the 1cent denom. When the game gives the progressive unconfigured and game disable, I would switch out another usb to ethernet adapter and plug into the other network board port and restarted the game just to see if the adapter was bad or the wrong port was plugged in.  I would continue down to 10 diferent percentages and I still have this error.

I read on NLG that some progressive controller is looking for the denom and percentage in the program and if you don't select what's in the program, it won't work. I dont know if that is case r how to.figure out setup in the controller program. It seems like no matter what denoms and winning percentages that I select, that game does not or controller does not see the signal inorder to run the game. I've even swapped out clone controllers and it's the same. Prior to the problem, the clone controllers work withe game. I couldn't possible have all three bad progressive controllers. If anyone is familiar with this setup, please chime in.

Were you ever able to resolve this problem? I’m having the same issue, but I have the correct settings written down for each game.

Things you mention are not correct.  Your controller is a Dell mini that should be booting off an internal SSD or a USB thumb drive.  Usually it's a USB drive so you can change games easily since the drive is configured for a specific cpu, game, percentage and denomination.

The mini is connected to a USB to RS-485 converter that connects to a Y-board via CAT5 cable.   The Y board is connected to the backplane of the machine.  Jumpers on the backplane must be configured for progressive.  Ether port on the Y-board can be used, it does not matter.

If you are using a USB to ethernet adapter that would not be correct, it should be a a USB to RS-485 converter  Also, in the game setup do not set it up as multidenom.  Assuming you are booting off a USB drive be aware that it is set for a specific CPU mac address so if you changed CPU it won't work.  If you plugged that USB drive into a PC other than the mini it may have been corrupted.

If you want to check the USB drive you can connect the mini to a monitor and watch it boot up for errors.  There should only be 1 error when it looks for Etho1.  It will display FAIL in RED.

Mine is set up exactly as you mentioned. I’m not sure what brand of controller it is since there aren’t any indicators. I checked the thumb drive on a monitor, and there was only the 1 error. I set up the game at the denomination and percentage that it was programmed on the thumb drive. It worked previously on the same machine, but I’m getting a progressive disabled error now. I’m wondering if I’m missing a step during setup, it is a WAP game.

Turned out to be a bad USB-RS485 converter. Ordered a new one on Amazon and everything is working again.

After reading these threads about Progressive Unconfigured.....
I had to install a new CPU-NXT3.2 in my BB3 Reel Em In Catch the Big one 2 as the machine stopped booting up and no monitors would come on. All was back up and running after the new CPU install and ram clear.
But I am having the same issue with the progressive set up. All error codes are gone except for "Progressive Protocol Not Set"
I did the same pay .01 with 96% payout all pay lines start with LAP for the progressive. But on the Serial Comm Setup screen I can't configure the Progressive Type......
I thought I read someone posting that if you change the CPU the game will not work?? Again everything came to life with the new cpu and a ram clear.....just down to getting rid of this progressive set up issue.
Could it be that I am just missing something or something I am doing out of sequence while going through the set up menu?

Correct, if  you change the CPU it will not work because the LAP is set for the MAC Address of your original CPU

Assuming it uses a USB drive for the LAP, have it updated to the new CPU or like you said, fix the old CPU
