WMS bb2 Conversion Problem

**See last post**Working on a BB2 to BB3 conversion and need help.  I have done these before.  I keep getting a "powerfailstate" error when programming it that just keeps repeating itself.  I have changed out both the video card and CPU processor board.  Also powered the CPU independently with a seperate power supply and I am still getting this error.  I have run this slot with a BB2 CPU in it  and it works fine.  Any suggestions on this??  Thanks

Throwing this out as an experiment with AI... which is getting sort of spooky.  :hide4:


The "powerfailstate" error after a Williams BB2 to BB3 conversion typically indicates an issue with the non-volatile memory (NVM), the power supply, or a required RAM clear procedure that was not properly executed or is failing. This error means the machine detected a power fluctuation or failure that corrupted some settings, or the new board's NVM is in an undefined state.
A RAM clear is a crucial step when swapping major components like a CPU board during a conversion. The new BB3 board needs its NVM reset to factory defaults and properly configured for its new environment.

Problem solved.  It was the power supply.  I have come to the conclusion that to run a BB3 cpu in a BB2 slot the supply must be the Blue labeled one.
