Fixing Plastic Guide for Sliding OS Card - WMS BB2

I pressed the eject button while changing games, and a white plastic guide piece (top right) came out along with the OS card. I’m wondering what the fix might involve—what the potential cost is and whether it’s a simple repair. Hauling the system out of my basement in the winter doesn’t sound appealing, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't know what the fix is, but I have 2 BB2 cabinets and at this point only 1 of the 4 slots between them still has the little guide mechanism intact. I've just jaded myself to the fact that I will have to always pry them out by hand when changing games. Would love to know if there's a simple fix.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, it looks as though I have a couple of broken pins in the OS slot. Pretty sure I'm stepping up cost of repair big time. Same question as before - Is this something I can take care of myself? How much is it going to cost? Thanks for the help!

Take a good close-up, high-resolution photo of the broken part you're talking about.
We need to see the exent of the damage.
From there, maybe we can help you.
Did you keep the white parts?
Have you tried Gorilla Glue? lol

Header pins should NOT be bent or broken...if so, that board is pretty much finished.

Depends on which pins are broken.  Usually the outer pin are not functional, so your CPU may still be functional.  As for the broken guides, you just have to be more careful inserting the card, making sure it is fully aligned with the pins before pushing the card into place.
