"CDS" or Casino Data Systems - MPU Needed

I have an "ON THE MONEY" CDS machine that is just collecting dust... I really would like to bring it back to life, it's just too cool looking to end up in a dumpster.... 

Mice made a nest on the MPU and it's just too far gone, too much corrosion and damage, looking for a "non-mice" visited and working MPU.

I would start cleaning the board and testing traces while looking. Honestly, you will be lucky to find one,  but an alternate plan would be a good idea. Clean the board with something that will sanitize it (409 or Spic and Soan) then use vinegar to neutralize the trace decay, brush the areas of the board that have corrosion with a toothbrush and then rinse with water. This is where I deviate from some others: I always do a brush and wash with baking soda mixed with water, this neutralizes any acid left behind by the vinegar. Then I rinse with distilled water, then finally with 90% or higher alcohol. Then you pull out a meter,and a beverage to enjoy, and start testing traces. This is the long forgotten H word at its best (hobby).

You might want to send a message to K-Lar slot repair, their email address is on the home page of supporting vendors. They might happen to have a board somewhere. Send a clear picture of the entire board from above so their helpers know exactly what they are looking for.

Hey Chris, thank you for all of the helpful suggestions.  My business partner does notebook and tablet board-level repairs for a living, and he already did the cleaning job on this.  He has his own (like many electronics guys) cocktail of things he uses that include vinegar, baking soda, distilled water, and Isopropyl along with Deoxidant.  Then my wife went at it next, she's a Bio Medical Electrical Engineer... The issue is a combination of damaged traces as well as a large quantity of chip legs that were "eaten off" or they are so corroded, they are "melted together" from the corrosion at the board, and they are really small so getting legs separated is really hard (using a pin to pick at the corrosion) and they are surface mount which doesn't help either.  Normally we buy machines in pairs (or more) but only have this one machine of this brand/type (we took it on trade to keep it out of a landfill - customer was going to throw it away so we gave him a couple hundred to keep it).  So no way to swap parts or test in another cabinet... so finding a "known working" and "known good" board would be a better start than the constant trial-error on this one, especially not knowing how to get this cabinet up and running again (our first CDS).  I'm in no rush, it's in the back corner of the storage area of our shop so we can wait to find a working board... just want to stay on top of the search and looking for a replacement board, hoping to bring it back to life eventually.
