Denver Tech Needed - BALLY 1978 Slot Machine

Hello,

I live in Denver and I'm having a very difficult time finding a local slot machine tech to service my recently inherited Bally 1978 slot machine. I was told I have to get the machine to Vegas to be worked on, and would like to avoid this. Does anyone know of a virtual service call where I can repair myself with assistance or a local Dencer tech? Perhaps someone that services Black Hawk?

The purpose of this forum is so you can be your own service tech, with the help of the volunteer experts here.  :yes:

Someone might chime in and know of a tech in that area, maybe! And they're going to charge you $150 to walk through your front door.

Best thing is describe the problem here and post three photos of your machine. ONE of the entire machine. ONE of the main interior and ONE of the inside of the open door.

The current problem is that the Coin Mech isn't registering the quarter. Drop the coin in and fall directly through to the coin catcher on the machine's exterior.

Make sure your photos are under 1mb but not too small.
Just give us maybe three photos: Entire machine, door open and inside of the door.

A small amount of light oil on the coin cradle's shaft may help the coin travel down to the coin switch below.

Also, flick the coin switch wire quickly and see if the game is detecting a "coin".
