IGT RWB 10 button Tito & BV challenges

Hi all, got an IGT S2000 10 button red white & blue that was missing her BV and Tito so I ordered them both. Originally she was throwing errors like door open M and printer communication failure. Upon connecting the Tito and BV it seems the BV is working fine tho its bill input slot doesn't match the outside slot so itd be impossible to place  a bill in the slot.... and the Tito was throwing an orange light until I fed tickets into it and now it shows a fully green light. Also, the old frame of the last tito is still in the machine so I have the new tito just sitting in the upper area not fastened down or anything and thew upper glass off. I have tried pushing the door key lock up and down 5 times and still I have the same 2 errors - door open M and printer communication failure. Any tips, hints or tricks would be much appreciated!

Door M Open could be coming from one of a few things.. First check your door optics, make sure they are there and plugged in. Next check your door switch and belly glass switch.. Lastly you could have a bad MPU board. Can you post a picture of your MPU board? Acid damage from the green varta battery leaking will damage the circuit board traces under and around that battery. When this happens you will see a door open error..

yes Amech thank you for your reply, as you can see the mpu battery area looks fine however the rest of the board has this sticker like film all over it... havent a clue as to what that is. Then as you can see one of the door sensors is disconnected but there doesnt appear to be any place to connect it to. i thought the previous owner just disconnected it for home use. That disconnected sensor is the likely cause for the open M error huh?

That's causing your door open message for sure. Look back inside the machine for a two pin plug, with red and purple wires if I remember correctly. You need the door optic sensors to clear machine errors and codes.

If you look where the varta battery was there is a jumper between the pos and neg not good.

Nice catch  I didn't notice that.. That can just cut it in the middle the separate the two sides.. I would just remove the whole jumper with a set of wire cutters..

SUCCESS!!!! Thank you alll for your help in getting this S2000 working again!!! Debrief is as follows:

I was able to bypass the door open M error simply by ensuring the main door white toggle switch was depressed all the way. For some reason that white toggle doesnt't depress down fully when the door is shut so I taped a couple quarters together and then taped them to the metal piece in the door latch that the toggle runs into. Now when I shut the door the white toggle depresses enough to no longer warrant the error. I proceeded to place a $20 bill into her, she accepted giving me credits and I hit spin. Sure enough everything appears to be in working order, though I haven't had the guts yet to cash out and test the printer even though I just bought the printer and have it full of paper.

I can't thank you all enough... thank you, thank you, thank you!

p.s. if anyone knows of a fix for that white toggle switch it would be much appreciated.

Make sure the sliding latch that has the metal plate doesn't have too much play/movement. I have found the mounting hardware loose that holds it to the door. You can just bend that metal plate forward, they do bend back after years of closing the door. If your white switch is going bad, they are a really cheap parts to purchase.

Thanks again, man you guys rock! Sure enough the latch system was all loose and I had a little feeling that the metal tab could be bent a bit but just wasn't going to do that without such counsel as yours..... so shall it be! Bent.

Any idea on what to do about a gap happening between the exterior of the bv and the interior? Makes it very difficult if not impossible to insert a bill unless its super crisp. Pic attached.
