Trying to fix this S2000 error

I get this error every time I reboot my machine. I open the door and close it and the error goes away, but will reappear once the power is cycled.


Any ideas? I have checked the basics.

Have you checked the switch to the stacker?
Is there a lock on the cash can door, it may be swinging open when your closing the main door.

You can take the two wires going to the stacker door and cut them off and strip and twist them together. That will bypass the optics.

If you have a switch on the inside of the cash can door, remove the wires from the switch and wire nut them together. The switch is only for the casino security purposes and is most likely worn out and causing you issues.

No stacker, switches bypassed. It worked before I upgraded to an enhanced S2000 board. Now I get the error.


I'm really wondering why the error goes away with the door opened and closed. Just an odd hickup I guess.

Does the machine have a test/diagnostic menu where you can check the various security switches?

No stacker? Did I understand this right? That's the problem. If it was setup up with a BV & it doesn't cycle at startup it will cause an error.

You can go in the menus and disable the BV or force a netplex config in menu 4  diagnostics  to remove it from the machines memory as long as everything to it is unplugged

As mentioned before it worked just fine with the BV disabled in the software and no cash can. I understand where you are coming from, but normally that error will show until it's fixed and can not be cleared by opening the main door.

I would probably try a ram clear, not shore if you did this after you changing boards.

I think that the stacker error comes normally from the BV itself, and not either of the switches.
