S+ 3300 code

   Hi all,
 I swapped out my CPU board. Swapped over Game and Reel chips. Got into a code 61 loop. Cleared the RAM and then installed the Game chip started the machine,okay. Used the SET015 chip for the bill validator and denomination setting. Put the Game chip back in, booted up okay. Put two quarters in, spinned the reels okay. Then it gave me a flashing 3300 code. This machine was working before the board swap it was eating batteries. I removed the hopper, emptied it, blew it out and spun the motor shaft. Refilled it and I still get the code. I can only think I have missed a setting? Looking for guidance. Thank you. It is a 10 Mhz board.

After the clear did you set the hopper limit? If it is set to 0 ,then if it needs to pay out quarters it can't with a 0 hopper limit. Just a thought.

3300 code means hopper  empty,  if you got a hit when you played the game the hopper should have turned on and dispensed the required amount. as long as that code is present everytime you open and close the door and put the latch down, the hopper should turn on, if it does this then there is something wrong with the coins coming out of the hopper. you can test the hopper manually by holding in the motor brake and turning the wheel assembly with the star agitator, you should see the coins coming around and going onto the knife and pass through the optics and roll out of the hopper. or you can clear the machine and start over.  the setting you have missed was 5_0 or 1 or 2  ,typically it should be 5_0, this will put all wins to credit.  there is a set of flip cards that explain all settings for the various menus.  it should be in the download section.

   It did not have a winning spin. I have gone through the menus as best I can. I do not think I have all options listed in the cards. I just got a new battery and I am going to start over. New battery in the original board to see if that works. Then try the replacement again. I will keep you all updated.

Check the backside of the female part of the hopper plug for loose wires. That is the other half of the plug that stays in the machine when the hopper is removed. That will cause a 3300.

   Okay, I finally got a little time to work on this issue. I installed a new battery in the original CPU board. Swapped over the Game and Reel chips and got the same code. I now pull the hopper,empty it,clean the optics and run coins by it manually rotating the motor. All looks and functions correct. Now I put 110 AC to the terminals on the connector and the motor spins fine.  Now moving on to the base cabinet connector, it checks out fine. I then tested for AC power at the connector with my digital multimeter. It had power when called? Hum? It should work. Shoved the hopper in and... nope no go. Pull the hopper and test it has power. What is going on? I pulled out the wiggy (neon light and buzz tester) and tested. No power? Found one of the fuse holders failing, just enough contact for the multimeter to read voltage but no load. So replaced fuse holder and put it all back together and played till 420 credits were in and did a cash out and it functioned perfect. Now I need to find the time to swap back in the replacement board. Thank you all.
