Bill Validator compatability Issue with S-AVP

I have a few Canadian machines. S-AVP 3.0. All of them are fine with switching validators except one. When I swith a validator from the one that is in it an error comes up and says bill validator off line USB. I know the validator is good and working because it works fine in the machine next to it. It even goes through it's whole cycle like normal. If I put the original back in it the error goes away and it will take money but not read it. Just spits it back out. (I assume because it is looking for Canadian money.) Any thoughts on this?

UBA??   If so, I would think that one "problem" head has an older Flash on the EPROM. Try swapping EPROMS From a working head....

I tried that. I changed it to an MEI and it was fine now. Must be a bad harness.
