WBA BV 12-SS NOT WORKING

I have a WBA 12-SS in a S-Plus machine money strom.chip sp605.  the lights on the front of BV are on it takes a bill then spits it back out.  In the menu I have is set for 8.1 9.0 I tried changing 9.0 to 9.1 but at the menu eight I've pushed a white button you can't edit nothing after that.  And where else can I edit the nine and put one in.  5.1 I'd turn jp key three times I also  showing a 7 but no 7.1,7.2,7.3,7.4 so I cant edit that either.  Also when it hits it pay a one it doesn't pay but you can keep playing                                                                                      I was also wondering if you change the CMOS chips only.are you good to go. Or do you have to run a set chip after.
