I'm wondering if you might have a relay that is sticking. It would explain why you had or have your run away hopper.. What you could do if it happens again, would be to open the feature unit and tap on each relay to see if it stops, or leave it open while playing the game to see if you can tell what relay energizes during a payout.. There are two different voltage types of those relays, so be careful if you try swapping them around.. The coil voltage is marked on the plastic cases of the relays.. If I remember correct they are 48V and 6V..

thanks, great advice! so far it has been playing perfect all afternoon and night, if it does it again will do that for sure! the only thing now (assuming it stays good) is a buzzing coin armature on the door (the lower one that moves the divertor plate in and out - sometimes gets louder, maybe wrap some electrical tape around the coil? or replace it?  love the sound of the falling dollar coins like the old days!  thanks for your awesome help!
