Bally EM 1046 Criss Cross has 14 coin Phantom payouts. non-winning combinations

I have been working on a Bally 1046, same as a 873 basically. I think I'm down to this one issue and not sure where to start? I am having what I want to describe as a phantom pays of 14 coins in certain positions. I was having over pays on single cherry of 3 coins, was paying 7 when it should have been 4. That was corrected by doing a good cleaning of the hopper reels. I am planning on setting up plum pays to test them in the  diagonal directions and lines 2 & 3 because I know it pays correct on line 1. I've only found one other 1046 here, and that postings over a year old. Looking for some advice from our EM experts, OldReno, Davidlee, GOS, Jon. Posting 2 pics of the phantom pays I've had so far.

Amechanic,


 I am no expert but, I am wonder about your 14 coin phantom pay.  On your first photo on payline 4 you have Plum, Plum, Bar. That should pay 14 coins.  Then the second photo on payline 2 it shows Plum, Plum, Bar. This would also pay 14 coins.


 So, are you getting an additional 14 coins (total 28) on each of the pay photos you show?

David Lee sent me a PM and told me the same thing. I was so concerned with a single cherry over pay that was paying 7 on a 4 coin win, that when I fixed that I was happy as hell. Then that happened, all I could think was, now what! I totally missed the bar, and being a 5 line I just missed it. I have one more problem that's totally different, so I'll start a new thread, and this one legit   :cool_thumb_up:
