igt s2000 says coin in jam

I just got in a s2000. had to replace battery and reset. now machine says coin in jam. there is no coin unit just a bill validator. any help would be nice. thanks.

 Amechanic is right. Anytime I got the coin in jam the only way was to clear and do the setup procedure.

That is correct. You will see that if you remove the plug, BUT this came up after he did a battery change. Now to clear the message the game needs to be cleared and Key chipped.

He said he just got this in, sounds to me he has no history on it, you don’t have to clear and key for this error

Yes more than likely the jumper plug missing or I/o is bad. No clear and key needed for this error.

All I know is that I have had this error pop up here with a new machine, and I have had to do this to clear the error.
