Bill Validator refuses to work...

Hi, I have a Double Diamond IGT s2000 slot machine and the bill validator still is not working, Today, I put in a brand new cash box ( not sure if it's seated right ) and the bill validator doesn't make grinding noises or light up on the door when I power on the machine, I can't tell if the cash can is seated right or not? Thank you

When seated properly the release lever should return to the "up" position. Be sure there are no obstructions, the transport is seated properly and there is power to the BV

I learned the hard way, that if you push the BV in to hard and fast you can break the plug off it's mount at the back of the machine. the plastic gets very brittle with age.

Sorry, late reply, the cashbox goes into the machine and the bill validator cycles but it still won't accept bills, I did notice that one of the two black flags located in the back of the cash cage when I push the cash can in, I also noticed that the release lever doesn't fully go back up ( as seen in the pics below ), I did try to pull up on the two metal tabs below the cash box to see if that would help seat the cashbox with no success, Any help would be very appreciated, thank you

Just noticed something this morning when I was taking out the cash can from the cash cage, When I removed the cash can, I noticed that I had to pull up on the lever instead of pulling down to remove the cash can, and the lever went down instead of up when I put the cash can in, What could be causing these anatomies?

It sounds like it's not seating properly. You really need to push or shove them in firmly once you are sure they are in the track.

Thank you, I'll try re-seating it again How can you tell when it's fully seated?

If the release handle goes back to the position it was in when there is no cash can installed.
Also if you replace the cash can when the machine is on it should immediately cycle.
If you could record and post the sound track of it cycling that would tell us a lot more if you have another problem.
I remember an earlier posting you did before you got a new cash can and it did not sound correct.

Do you get a bill stacker error code after you close the main door?  I believe  both of those flags need to be in the up position with the cash can installed..
