IGT I Plus Game Settings

I finally got my Keychip 22 thanks to the help of members on this forum and it works great. I can access my settings but there are two things I haven't been able to figure out.


1. When I cash out any amount it hand pays. I do have the printer enabled and it works but it won't print a ticket. How do I enable printing only and get rid of handpay?


2. What setting in the key chip menu do I need to set in order for the slot to accept tickets back in? My original slot was already set up when I got it (I overwrote those settings), but it would print the ticket but would not take it back for credits.


Please let me know as I'm almost a 100% up to speed on my machine at this point.

This is a post from NLG member Tilt. Hope this helps. Hopefully someone else tilt will chime in here soon if this doesn't solve the problem. I'm not sure if enabling the printer alone will then put it in a split pay situation, hope not.

 
Enable/disable the printer.

From the Key Chip Menu, touch Machine Options, Peripheral Devices Setup, and the Enable/Disable icon next to THERMAL PRINTER.

Have you tested the printer from the Diagnostics menu?  Press MPU self test button ->Diagnostic-> Printer Test 

Do you have a TITO board installed in your machine?  It is required in order for your machine to accept printed tickets.

The printer works fine.


I have set up a custom name on it and the tickets print. When I first got the slot the tickets would print out payouts (but the machine wouldn't take the ticket back for credits).


Since clearing settings with my Key 22 chip, everything hand pays now (but testing the printer still works).

Ok try this:
Clear credits and install the keychip.  Select Perform Keychip after reboot and reboot it. 

When the Keychip Menu appears select Comm Options->Validation/Redemption->Validation Setting.  Change it to SAS Standard Validation.  Save and Exit.
Goto Machine Options->Peripheral Devices Setup.  Enable Thermal Printer.
Save and exit.
Exit Keychip menu

When game boots back up insert a coin and then hit the cashout button.  It should print a ticket.

Getting it set up to print tickets is the first step.  Beyond that it WON"T accept the printed tickets without a TITO board.  I just installed a deluxe version from Bettor Slots (vendor) and it works great!  Even if you only have one machine capable of connecting to a network it will let you add credits, customize ticket setting and see/change setting from your computer or smartphone.

Looks like it won't take tickets as is.


I don't have a Ticket and Validation setting in my menu. I do have SAS system and such, but I tinkered around with the settings and couldn't get it to take the tickets.


Anytime I set the system to SAS validation it would stop printing tickets all together and go to hand pays.


This is a Munsters game so I'm open to trying more if someone has this game that takes tickets but at this point I don't think my software supports it for this one.

I stated that in reply #2 as well.  If you set it up as like I said it will print tickets, but not accept them.  It's never going to accept them without a TITO board and with a TITO board the SAS settings are different than what I gave you.
