S2000 Enhanced booting issues after power surge

   Short story, air compressor running on the same circuit caused repeat sags and spikes without my knowledge. Died with "Netplex down" error on vac display. Replaced MPU, all CPU chips and power supply. MPU will clear just fine and I get double top LEDs. Put in SB chip and all I get is high pitch noise on the speakers, two orange and one green LED. It will not boot any further. This machine is a 3C 3R DD clone and has been updated to 504B MPU with sound SIMM, 6-seg display, touch denom and bypassed door optics. The machine was running flawlessly in TITO setup for almost a year before I installed in the commercial location. Then poof... I'm not sure where to go from here. The motherboard looks to be old and has about 7 diodes at the top of the board so could it be that?  :Scratch-Head: :CaptainHappy_worried:

I would suspect the power supply since it had low voltage. Try reseating it and tighten screw

Reseat the power supply? I'm not sure that's possible, It's screwed to the back of the cabinet. I reseated all of the wire-end connectors going to it (after swapping with a "good" one off eBay) and I've had the MPU in and out hundreds of times, no backplane pins are bent. I installed a zif socket on the SB dim socket to avoid chip swapping issues so I don't believe it's that since the 224 clear works fine. Is there a voltage reference for the PSU connectors that I can use to verify it's working correctly and power is going where it needs to?

Possibly SB chip got corrupted.

I was thinking that as well but I've tried burning my own 4002 chips (2 sets so far and I've successfully burned a bunch before now) and I also purchased a complete machine set from Ron Ball including new ram chips. Same situation. It's gotta be power related, but I can't verify if it is because I can't find any schematics or voltage reference information for this PSU. Everything powers on, bill reader, displays, ticket printer but it just won't boot. Stuck with the 2 orange, one green LED code.

I was just thinking a little corrosion , that's why I suggested pulling the power supply and reseating it. You sound like you know your stuff . Sometimes it's the simple thing's.

I checked the power supply that was installed during the power issues. Nothing looks corroded, burnt or bloated.

Dude that's a power distribution box mainly for the 115V circuits. The power supply located behind the reels is likely the culprit.
