Newbe help with S2000 Reel Detectives machine

I have little knowledge of this machine.  From a friend who replaced the battery, now it says Ram Error.  What are the next steps I should take or should i do a Ram Clear.  if so on the clear, I'm seeing there are different chips for these S2k machines, how would I know which I need?  Thanks in advance, Josh

With the door open just turn the jackpot key until it says close main door and you should be good to go.

Ok, so I know # 1 I marked needs replacing, obviously it’s gone, I assume #3 is the one you spoke of, but maybe it misunderstanding something someone told me, but I thought #2 is a battery that needs replacing.  If not great, but where can I get the #3?

Yes you need to put a battery in #1. Remove #2 battery it is not needed for home use. If left on it will ruin your board when it leaks acid. #3 is a capacitor should be good. Don't worry about it.

I’m sorry I posted to my wrong thread but thank you for figuring that out... ok so replace the coin battery and completely remove the funny black looking battery and we should be good from there... correct?

Yes. The best is to install a battery holder and use a coin battery. Unsolder the black battery. Do that 1st and we can go from there.
