IGT S+ Comparator Molex Wiring

I am a newbie to this board and to slot machine repair so please bear with me.
I have an IGT S+ which showed error 12 - I changed the battery and am now getting error 21.  I have verified that the comparator is seated properly and that the acceptor does not have coins jammed in it.  I have not yet verified that the coin optics is not blocked because I haven't figured out how to do that - but I have the service manual and am still reading.
However I notice that the molex connector for the comparator has a 5 wire cable but only three wires are connected; leaving a yellow and black wire unattached. I cant tell by looking into the connector if they ever were attached.  Could someone tell me whether that connector should have a 3 or a 5 wire connection?
I have attached a photo of the comparator and molex connector with the 2 wires circled in red.

the black and yellow wires are needed, black goes to the bottom.

Thanks for your quick reply.  My old eyes and hands wont work on  connectors that small anymore so I will search for a relacement cable.  Thanks again.
