S-2000 Cleopatra I-O Card verification

New machine I'm working on. Cleo 5 reel 9 line. Before I turn it on can someone verify the number of the 2 IO cards on the door? I believe they are the same. Last 5 reel machine I had worked on I fried the 9 digit display 2 times. Cant remember what the problem was.  :Scratch-Head:

Those cards are usually a pair of 802's, though one can be an 801 and I don't know which, lol
I fried an IO card on a cleo before because of a short I created on a 9 line display because I was dumb, plugged it in with machine turned on. Haven't seen it the other way

I will wait to fire machine up until I know for sure. Last 5 reel machine I had fired up without checking if the IOs were correct fried the display. I cant remember what was the correct number was for the IOs. That machine is long gone.

The outside I/O is 802.  I can't get the inside one out right now, it's hard to get to, I'm not feeling well.  I tried.

As long as they are both 802's you're set up right. I just know that it is OK for one to be an 801, but ot only works THAT way if the 801 is in the correct place. In any case, two 802's is the normal, standard, setup

Ok Thanks. I have 802s and will try shortly. Just want to make sure I have the small black connector from the display going to the IO closest to the cabinet. See Pic.  Can someone verify that this is correct? I moved it forward to take pic. I will reroute it. Thanks for all the help.

Ed,   don't turn this machine on, from what I can see, it looks like it is wired wrong.  just looked at one today, helping another person  who is blowing C-5 on the 802 outside card.  the main cable coming from the machine is hooked to the top of the outside I/O card, the bottom cable from that I/O card goes up to the display, the other cable coming from the display goes down to the inner top connector of the inner I/O card.

Grab a scrap harness, cut a plug off and stick it in the unusable socket with a do not use tag on it, then label the cards and slots A and B for clarity
