Hey guys just saw that you are looking for a metal plate. I go to a glass place and I have them cut me out a mirror piece that fits perfectly and it looks great. better than the metal and of course they sand the sides so you don't cut your fingers when you're cleaning it and also they use a special glue that doesn't damage the backside  of the mirror. give it a thought it cost me $10 to have it done .
