Splus error code 3100 and reel tilt code 45

Opened and closed door several times no luck clearing error codes. Checked wiring harness on each reel and have learned Reel 1 getting no power?
any suggestions

3100 is an "extra coin out" error.  If fully closing and latching the door does not cause the error to clear, your bill validator stacker door ("cash can" door) may be open, or your door optics may be faulty.  When you close and latch the door is there ANY change in the LED display on the front of the machine (ie. does the 3100 go blank and then come back, or does it just stay lit?)?

45 would indicate a reel 5 tilt.  I'm guessing you don't have a 5-reel S+ machine.  Can you please elaborate as to how you have learned that reel 1 isn't getting power?

When i close and latch the door LED's Read 3100 (steady on)  Insert coin (flashing)
Then LED's will change (winners paid) 22, (credits) 45,,,,,Insert Coin (alternate flashing with coins played) 3

3 REELS

Reel 1 wasn't engaging or slow spin
Reel 2 slow spin
Reel 3 slow spin

I disconnected wire harness from the bottom of Reel 1 and swamped it with wire harness from Reel 2
Result was Reel 2 doesn't engage or slow spin,,,,while Reel 1 now engages and slow spins.

I open and closed Bill validator cash can door no change.

If you have some cheap digital multimeter, remove the 2-pin Molex from the emitter optic on the door.
The colors of the two wires coming from the door harness are black with a red stripe and a green wire.

Set your multimeter to check for continuity between the two pins that have red and black wires on the door emitter optic female Molex housing that contains the male pins.

Touch the multimeter's ground lead to the pin with the black wire and the multimeter's red lead to the pin with the red wire.
You should get a reading around .987 ohms of resistance - that means the door optic emitter is fine.

If your multimeter shows continuity [.000], or a [1.], the emitter optic is no good.

I will tell you how to check the cabinet receiver optic after you perform this test if the door emitter optic is good.


If the door emitter optic is bad, place a WTB (Wanted To Buy) ad in the Classifieds section of NLG and someone will should one for you.

try turning the jackpot reset key with the machine turned on and the door open, see if that will stop your reels from spinning.

Stayoutadabunker, Using a Ohm to check the continuity of optic meter on the door Red Wire and Black Wire. I got a read out 1317.


While inspecting the optic meter on the cabinet Red Wire, White Wire ,,,,the White Wire has broken away from the optic reader.


So i'm going to but a set. I'll you know the outcome after replacing them both/ Door  and Cabinet
