New slot owner - few questions

Hi NLG!


I'm a new slot owner and have been reading the forums off and on and learning all kind of things.


I have a IGT S2000 with a 500 series MPU, I already removed the varta battery despite the picture showing it. The BV works, and it prints tickets just fine. Everything works fantastic! It's currently on Prog SS6994 which is 90.01%

- I'd like to change the payout percentage since it's currently at 90.01% and saw that machines like mine can be changed with changing the key chip ? I have access to player demonation in key chip config (read only) need key chip to change
-- what kind of key chip do i need to edit the key chip config? I'm seeing all these numbers 17, 31, 123 etc.


Any guidance on this would be appreciated.

Key 31 is what is recommended for the SG chip you have.

You can not change payout % of that SS reel chip with a key chip. It has to be replaced. Key 31 will work but I recommend a Key00045 (more versatile) & a IVC00224 clear. I can ship you any one or all 3 chips. Just a SS chip will change the payout without altering any other settings. If you wish to change any other setting get a key chip (highly recommended). For unrecoverable errors or to change accounting denom get a clear chip (also recommended but don't clear the machine unnecessarily). PM me if interested.
